Yoga FAQ’s

I’m a beginner, where do I start?

We suggest starting with Medi-Flow. This is the best for beginners, as we do deep stretching in the warm room, which are mostly done lying down, seated or on your stomach. It allows you to get used to the heat, whilst having the most profound relaxing experience.

What should I bring?

If you have a yoga mat, bring that, along with a towel and water. If you don’t have a mat, we have them for hire at the studio.

What should I wear?

Anything light and comfortable. What you would wear to go to the gym. Nothing too heavy or bulky.

How hot does the room get?

Our heat, at maximum, will reach a level of 35 degrees. However, not all classes will reach this point. Most of our beginner classes are 28 degrees, to help you acclimatise to the warmth.

Why the heat?

We use infrared heating in order to allow our muscles to stretch and extend at a deeper level. It also encourages us to sweat, which helps our bodies eliminate toxins through the skin.

Can I practise if I am pregnant?

We advise you first to seek your doctor’s approval prior to undergoing any type of exercise or stretching.

Can I attend if I am nursing an injury or have a medical condition?

Ash Constance is a qualified Chiropractor and has been working with people of all different backgrounds, injuries and medical conditions for the past 10 years. We advise you to speak to Ash Constance or your teacher, prior to attending, in order for us to modify if required.
