Shannon Rokis first discovered yoga at the age of 16, and it’s been an integral part of her life since then. Shannon completed trainings in Sivananda Yoga (2011), SATTVA Yoga (2015) and Meditation (2019). She draws on the wisdom of these lineages in her own teachings. Her mission is to help her students settle into the state of peaceful quietude that exists beneath the activity of the mind, through synchronizing breath with movement and meditation. Expect fun and dynamic flows in class with a strong emphasis on breath and mindfulness. Shannon is a patient and understanding teacher and loves to teach all levels of practitioners, from beginners to advanced. Her classes are warm and inviting with a friendly atmosphere, holding the space for students to truly connect with themselves. Shannon feels incredibly blessed and honoured to share the many blessings and gifts she has received from this practice with others.
Rhiannon feels that Yoga offers us an opportunity to connect our breath, heart, mind and body. It is in this space we are able to become curious, to let go of what no longer serves us and deeply nourish ourselves. This way of being results in moving through day to day life with presence and unconditional love for ourselves and others.
In Rhiannon’s classes, students are offered the opportunity to slowly build strength while honoring the truth of where they are at moment to moment. Her moto is ‘everything is an invitation, have no expectations’. Rhiannon is kind and warm, encouraging humor throughout her classes. Rhiannon feels deeply honored to guide and hold space for those wanting to journey to all parts of themselves through this embodied spiritual practice.
